Siren.

Oh, to cast off the misfortune of my humanity

In order to become a womanly creature wholly different.

Bound only to my hunger

And the sea.

Tapestries of sound.

Stories of explorers and fishermen

And admirals and first mates

Criminals and heroes

Woven together in my gullet.

For all men are equal

And quiet

When devoured.
