I Saw A Woman Who Looked Like Me But Different

I put on one of my favorite songs, looked in the mirror the whole song, and just watched how I moved and smiled and laughed.

And for a split second, I saw Myself.

I surrendered to knowing that Other Me and was surprised that she was different from how I imagined myself to look.

There was magic in her joy and the carefree way she tossed her shoulders and boldly mouthed every word.

I saw a person who I would want to love.

A person I would want as a friend.

I saw a person I would want to offer myself to.

And so I shall.
